Senior Data Scientist - Up to $200,000 + Super + Equity

A Sydney based, venture-capital backed start-up who are on a mission to elevate people's finances through innovative financial products are seeking a talented Senior Data Scientist to join their tight knit team of entrepreneurs with backgrounds in tech, product, finance, and investments.

Their goal is to change the status quo and bring fairness to the Australian financial landscape.

 

As an experienced Data Scientist, you will be a self-starter who is nosey about data and wants to not just implement the models but wants to find the answers. The focus of the role will be to maintain and improve the company’s credit modelling, by applying ML techniques to predictive models, and ongoing evaluation of models, problem diagnosis, along with rolling out new models and features.

 

 

Requirements

• Experience with multi/AV testing, ad hoc and exploratory testing, analysis, customer behaviour prediction models.
• 4+ years’ experience in the practical application of data science to real-world problems
• Intermediate programming skills in one of Python/Scala/Javascript/Typescript
• Experience working with production ML systems and how to monitor ongoing performance effectively.
• Excellent communication / visualisation skills to present complex data relationships.
• Strong academic background.
