Global data analysis and optimisation software company, that is helping to combat fraud and financial crime, is seeking a passionate Senior Data Engineer to join their Australian division. You’ll be working closely with Data Scientists, Business Analysts, Technical Leads, Project Managers and Solutions Architects. You will be experienced in the latest and leading open source Big Data technologies, have knowledge of at least one Big Data technology such as Spark, Hadoop or Elasticsearch, and ideally have a background in working on platforms hosted on Google Cloud (GCP).

 

Other Requirements:

• 3+ years’ experience as a Data Engineer
• Knowledge of at least one of the following: Spark, Hadoop, Elasticsearch.
• Passion and desire to learn and code in Scala using multiple big data toolsets
• Excellent problem solving skills and enthusiasm to pick up a broad set of tasks
• Experience working with both internal and external stakeholders
• Bachelor or Masters in either Mathematics, Physics, Computer Sciences or IT/Technology
