Home of Australia’s leading entertainment streaming service, are seeking a Platform Developer to join the team for a 6 month Fixed Term Contract.
As a member of the development team, you will use primarily Java technologies to design and develop enterprise level applications across all of our products. You will be developing applications for broadcast automation and video streaming, as well as APIs for the website and mobile applications. There is a lot of integration involved with high volume public facing APIs in the cloud.
You will work across all aspects of SDLC, including design, testing, implementation, operation and support of applications in production. You will be required to write good unit tests and be keen to document your work. You should also be interested in improving and work according to best practices of CI/CD and DevOps.
This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for someone who is looking to up their game as you will be involved in complex projects, be working autonomously and take a piece of work from design to operations. You will produce high quality code by applying OOP principles, design patterns, best practices, automation and unit testing, therefore need to adhere to coding standards and practices.
Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience in full SDLC.
- Extensive experience in the Java ecosystem, OO design and patterns.
- Extensive experience with open source Java technologies and frameworks such as Spring.
- Experience with the Microservices pattern and containers.
- Experience with design and development of REST webservices.
