Senior Software Engineer

Sydney - Hybrid 

Multinational risk management advisory, insurance broking and solutions company are seeking a passionate Senior Software Engineer to join and expand their multi-faceted and close-knit Engineering team. In this exciting role you will work to develop next generation products and features whilst working to resolve any defects and ensure products are meeting high levels of reliability, maintainability, usability, and performance.

 

You will bring your passion for design and implementation of C# code, striving to always improve testability, performance and provide scalable, clean code. To ensure the high standard of code is being maintained and allowing you to take pride in the work you produce. In this role you will also assist in improving internal business processes, contributing to the world-class level of software development this company continually achieves.

 

Role Requirements:

• Degree educated in Computer Science, Engineering Mathematics or Science.
• Passionate about furthering your knowledge and experience across a variety of different tools and technologies.
• Industry experience with software engineering best practises, specifically with TDD and hands on experience building out services on core platforms.
• Demonstrable skill set in providing clean code particularly in C#, and unit testing frameworks in NUnit and xUnit.
• Proven experience developing in .Net and .Net Core.
• Desire to work in a collaborative Agile/Scrum environment and comfortable working in Azure DevOps CI/CD environments.

 

Working closely with test engineers, product teams and fellow skilled engineers within a global setting, you will implement solutions in regards to; debugging code, promoting code re-use and technical debt reduction. You will also collaboratively contribute to design reviews and confidently communicate issues/concerns to your team on a daily basis and in Sprint planning meetings.
