It's not only been a successful year for technologists and our clients; Client Server Australia has had an exciting 2017 too. We spoke to Associate Director David Leadbitter about our successes and where we're going next!
Client Server Australia: 2017 in Review
How has 2017 been for Client Server Australia?
Setting up and growing Client Server Australia in the latter part of this year has been a challenging but hugely rewarding experience! From a virtually standing-start we have established an office in Sydney’s CBD, hired our first employee and have established working relationships with a range of successful companies in industries such as FinTech, Investment Management, Financial Trading, Consultancy and Data Analysis in both Sydney and Melbourne. We've also helped our first candidates find their next technology role within some great businesses!
What challenges have you had and how have you overcome them?
There were a number of logistical hurdles to overcome in the first few months (generating business in a new city is a challenging prospect!) but we have received huge amounts of support from our Directors David Kerr and Nick Boulton, not to mention from the wider Client Server team, who introduced me to a number of potential candidates and clients and assisted in providing a comprehensive training programme for our first employee. In my opinion one of the major reasons for Client Server’s continued success is its hugely collaborative culture, a characteristic we will be nurturing here in Australia.
What’s the plan for 2018?
As we head into 2018, Client Server Australia is in a healthy position. Our reputation in Sydney and Melbourne is growing, we have a number of exciting roles to fill and we are looking forward to introducing Rupert Turner to the Client Server Australia team and seeing what the New Year has to offer!
